Is it wrong to subject Middle-Eastern people to more scrutiny than the others in the name of security?

Given the fact that majority of terror attacks are carried out by Muslims, it would make sense to check their baggage more than anyone else.
I do understand that anyone can be a terrorist. But if you were to create a statistical chart of the religions associated with terror attacks, the demographics would speak for itself.

Also, by subjecting them to security checks, we aren't insulting them in anyway. I am pretty sure people are tolerant enough to agree for a 2 minute check without creating a fuss about it. Its not like we are humiliating them.
