They say that it might crash the device allot and overheat so they don't feature it. But why cant they let you chose if you want to install it yourself. I mean even my netbook can do it and this cost me 400 dollars. I think they should have said well we don't like it but here's a way you can get it and if you don't want it any more than uninstall it. Love Einsteins quote “Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius-and a lot of courage-to move in the opposite direction.”

PS: Don't forget company's are there to make money and think of there interest so I neither love or hate apple "neutral". So no hate responses.

flash on an ipad/ipod would open the market for other companies to produce apps and the works. Apple fears that if they did allow flash, people would be able to code in flash and produce things that would either be a loop-hole for the app store, promote businesses that they don't want promoted (they're very competitive), or things that would even be harmful or malicious.

There's no way you could download malicious software for your ipad/ipod unless you jailbreak it because apple checks everything they allow you to download to it. With flash, there would be ways to get software by without apple checking it you see?

A checkbox would be a great solution for people who don't care about the risks, but apple doesn't want it at all for the chance that people could get around the app store for apps... Among other reasons.
