Is it worth to learn Perl language?

I am someone who is looking for a Data Analyst jobs which uses SQL and Excel as a main tools. Moreover, I am not looking for a computer programming jobs. However, I would like to know is it worth to learn Perl. Perl seems to be a easy and short.
 
Perl is useful to learn if you expect your job to involve a lot of Unix shell scripting. Short of that, no, it's pretty much fallen out of favor as a Web scripting language, and really takes a back seat to VBA / Windows Scripting Host on Microsoft platforms.
