I've been using a 2G iPhone with T-Mobile for several months with no hitches or problems - I want to know, how many problems do you run into using a 3G iPhone with T-Mobile? I know the 3G has some special activation compared to the original 2G and that some have said you need to have a good AT&T sim card to fix it if you mess it up to get it unlocked again. I have seen some others claim to have problems getting the sim card and the push function working at the same time. I have seen many various problems associated with this, but I was also looking at the ultrasn0w website reading the comments and most of the people seemed to be using jailbroken and unlocked versions of OS 3.0.
Is OS 3.0 jailbroken on the 2G full of all these problems too or is it just the 3Gs that have these problems? If I buy a 3G I want to be able to make my calls, surf the internet via Wi-Fi, play my music, and use my apps all the same as I can on my 2G without any stupid glitches or problems. Is that possible on the 3G, or is it honestly much more glitchy and trouble prone than the 2G?
I'd really appreciate the advice of someone who owns an unlocked 3G iPhone and has been using it with T-Mobile for some time (especially if you've owned the 2G and unlocked it as well).
