Is it worth getting a warranty on a $150 koodo phone?

Im gonna get the LG optimus one' today and I was told the warranty is 5$/month... It doesn't seem too worth it for a $150 phone, right? What if I don't get the warranty and end up having major phone problems a month or two after I buy it, will I be able to get it fixed or what?
