is it weird to warn people about your weirdness?

usually when i meet people i like, as friends
i warn them that i am a little weird
in my humour, logic and doing

when i warn them they usually stay friends

but when i dont warn people, they get a little freaked
and will go away.

is it normal to warn people about yourself?
