Is it weird to want to be older but not grow up?

I want to be older, but I don't want to become an adult. I don't want my family to get older..

But I want to be an older teenager. Everyone judges little kids because of their age, and I can't get a part-time job or anything. Plus being older seems nice..I think. But I like being my age too.

How do I get out of this mentality?
I like school and my parents telling me what to do though.
Sixteen. I want to be sixteen.

Enjoy each stage of your life. You'll get there eventually. Life will always keep moving forward. So, take in every moment! Keep a diary! Do things that you won't get to do when you are older! You're only a kid for a little while, enjoy it! And being an adult isn't all that bad either. You will always find new experiences awaiting you.

Nah, it's normal... i feel the same way. I think it's because being a kid means having to go to school, doing homework, doing what parents say etc. I guess in a way it's like we have to do what people say because we are still minors and i don't know about you but i want the freedom that being older gives you, plus i want a job and all that stuff. So in a nut shell, a lot of teens feel the same way and it's normal.
