is it weird to get a friend a christmas present?

im pretty good friends with this kid and hes generally a cheap guy, but a good friend and i got him a 20 dollar christmas present(dvd seasons set of this funny show). i just always get my friends presents and we've been tight for like a year i think. i dno...like i don't care if i don't get anything in return i just don't wanna look like a creepy dude. what do you guys think?

It's always better to give than to receive. I feel the same way. Don't care if I get a gift in return, just like giving gifts to others. It was a really nice gesture on your part, not creepy.
