Is it weird that I'm a 19 year old female who hates the feminist movement?

Not that I think we should be treated as unequal, inferior beings, but I think there's a reason men and women were created differently. I think it's so dumb to try and undermine the need for separate roles. And I think that the feminist movement has destroyed the notion of "chivalry."

I am twenty and I agree. I don't like the idea that the only reason I need a man in this society is to have sex and reproduce as though he were a walking dildo or something. Men and women were designed differently and I dislike that Modern feminism seems to want to eradicate all the natural differences

I hate the feminist movement as well. It has been a contributor to the decline of our morals and values in this Country. You wouldn't think so at first glance, but it has.

I agree we should be treated and paid on equal terms and not think ourselves to be inferior or let others make us that way, but your right, there are roles we each play, and we were designed that way with purpose.

No, I don't think it's weird- although maybe Im not your best reference as I went through something similar when I was about 17-18.
I bet if you look at yourself you will probably see a consistent dislike for anything taken to extremes, and the early feminist movement is certainly an example of things taken to extremes, leaving women my age (late 20's and early to mid-30s, I'd say) to desperately seek a balance in society between pre-feminist and feminist ideologies; thus in part the higher numbers of SAHMs choosing to leave their professional lives for up to several years in order to be full time mothers and wives. I honestly hope it is easier for women your age in a few years, and if not, at least for my own daughters, to simply and truly be what they want to be, and do what they choose to do,

When I was 19 I hated it too, but then I studied a little women's studies and it changed my perspective. But I know what you mean ... there's something comforting about the male-female duality.
