The first time is always a fumble; don't expect fireworks. Try to come to terms with the reality that your partner probably doesn't expect porn-star performance. In fact, they should probably anticipate a five-minute experience. As long as you both know this, you can be light-hearted about it. You should not have to be drunk to "endure" your first time.
If you really can't calm your anxiety about it, though, you're probably not ready.
