I like my girlfriend a lot. She's hot and she's okay in the sack, but if there was ever a hypothetical situation in which I had to choose between my best friend or my girlfriend, I'd choose my best friend every time.
I mean, we've known each other since grade school. There's no replacing that. Sure, it'd be sad to lose my girlfriend, but I'd get over it eventually it.
Same goes for anyone in my family. I'd save them first. You can get over a girlfriend in time, but the loss of a family member or best friend is irreplaceable.
