A lot of women chose to make their maiden names their middle names when they get married.
Personally, I dropped my maiden name completely. Of course, I have a lot of issues with my father's side of the family never having been there for me when I was younger and lots of other things, so I didn't want the name anymore. But if you want to keep you maiden name, you're not alone.
