Is it weird for me to not want to go to the dance?

I'm a 17 year old guy in high school, if it helps. I am perfectly straight, and just don't want to go to the dance that all my friends are raving about. I don't have a girl that I'd really like to take right now, so I figure I'll just not go and do something else that night.
 
Well last time I had a dance I just went with my friends. So who cares if they have somebody that they are dancing with. You can dance with them. And I bet that you aren't the only one who doesn't have a girl to go with them to the dance.Just relax. Go and have fun. Take it easy. Samantha
