Is it weird for a man to go to a strip club alone?

My boyfriend goes to strip clubs alone and when he does he gets really defensive and says things like, " I'm a grown man, It's my day off and I'll do what I want, I've been going to strip clubs way before I met you", or he'll just totally ignore my calls while he's there. I don't know how often he goes because he doesn't tell me when he's going. He just goes.Is it weird for a guy to go to a strip club alone.
