I have a crush on a 16 year old girl and I'm 14, my friends think it'd be weird if i asked her out or told her i like her. Also she was born at the start of the year and I was born at the end of the year so for example when she will turn 18 there would be many months where I would be 15 and so to me it seems to much of an age difference. I really like her and I'm so confused

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her to realize that I'm not inferior to her or something?
