Is it weird/bad to take a major in information technology and history?

I really like both subjects and want to do a double major. Would that be okay. I know that history is "useless" in the sense that its not explicitly practical, but I really want to get a good liberal arts education along with the technical knowledge in IT. Ultimately I could see myself working in IT or being a teacher one day.
 
Diversity in knowledge is always good. You should learn what you enjoy. You never know how it may help in the future.
