You usually see on the news that the U.S. education system is behind when compared to other countries but some say that the comparisons aren't fair because there is no no child left behind policy and that other countries only choose to education the highest performing students.How valid are these studies that find that the U.S. education system under achieving to other countries?

Those type of screwy questions are from other countries as well. Another thing is that sometimes it is just people messing around and not being serious. I do feel that US system is lacking but the question is whether it is fairly compared to other countries.
