Is it true fish can't feel pain?

There has been a very large debate on this subject, mainly between animal-rights groups and anglers. However recent studies have shown that fish do not have the necessary brain functions to recognize pain, or at least do not feel pain in the same way as mammals. With that said, I would imagine that any damage to the internal organs would be rather painful.

No, it isn't. They have nerve endings.

People say a lot of untrue stuff about fish - like it's OK to put them to sleep by putting them in a freezer. It isn't, it would be excruciating.

I'd be interested to see how many people think this is true - afterall there are still people out there who think cats don't feel pain, and plenty of people who think they don't feel much pain.

some people make up things for no reason its like if your about to get a shot and the doctor says you won't even feel a thing that is a total lie u can 100% feel it fish have nerves just like us and if the nerves are disturbed they will 100% be able to feel it
