Is it too late to become a doctor?

I'm man of age 34. In recent years I'm becoming increasingly fascinated with the medical profession, something I had no interest in when I was learning in school and college. I'm in the IT field right now and I was wondering if it's too late for me to start. If the answer is yes then what would be next logical step for me to be on this track?
