Is it supposed to feel good to be the lowest class person in the neighborhood?

I just moved into a $600,000 house. In today’s market that means only $250,000. Most of the people own Escalades, Mercedes, etc. There are lots of doctors, lawyers, etc. All the houses are well kept. There are no teens in primer colored rice burners with big speakers. Most of the women look like “Stepford Wives”.

My girlfriend and I are not married. I drive my 2002 custom Jeep Wrangler. I guess by comparison I look like a RedNeck. One of the neighbors was relieved when she found out I am a software developer.

I am so happy to be the lowest class. That means I have nobody bellow me that will be a problem (loud music, littering, drugs, junk cars in the street, etc). Am I right?
