This is the deal: We've been looking for a 08-09 GMC or Chevy Crew Cab Truck 4x4 5.3. Dealerships are asking $28-$29k for '09's with 20,000 miles and $27-$28 for 08's with the sames mileage. Whatever my husband gets he wants to add a 1. Ranch Hand front bumper, 2. spray in bedliner, 3. lift, 4. nicer wheels and tires, 5. and possibly Leather. To add Leather in a truck cost around $1,000 - we were told you could finance that in, that's paid for out of pocket.
So I've been searching.... 8 hours a day in the dallas metroplex for weeks and no one will budge of the prices. Then we found this truck: Black, Tan Leather, Crew Cab, LT-Z71, 4x4, 5.3, comes with Spray in Bed liner, and Ranch Hand Bumper.... listed at $24,500. - I want to haggle them down to 22k out the door.
and this one: 08, crew cab, 4x4, 5.3, cloth seats, no extras, no bed liner... said out the door at 25,900.
But they also said they could get us in a new one for $30k out the door. I dont get it why can you buy a NEW truck for $30k but they still want almost $30k for a used truck???
So my question is which one should we try and get? the Black with high miles with the extras or the blue, plain one with no extras? The extra equal to $2300. Both the trucks are under the 100,000 mile 5 year warranty and the Black one is also GM Certified. Would it be stupid to finance a truck with 50,000 miles??
