I donate plasma twice a week for the good that it does (not to mention the extra spending cash is pretty rad) and I really prefer bike riding over driving. Bike riding gives me some great exercise, is very convenient and environmentally friendly, which I think is all fantastic! But I've always been a little nervous to ride my bike to go donate plasma.
It's not the five mile bike ride to the center that makes me nervous, but the five mile bike ride back home. I live in Eugene, OR, and the plasma center is across downtown for me, making the bike ride one that requires lots of attention. I'm 18 years old, 5'8", weigh 130 lbs and am in good shape/health.
Would you say it's safe to ride my bike?
