after the initial engagement? My fiance' and I became engaged in 2009, wanted a long engagement and have finally set the wedding date a few months ago. Our dilemma is this: Since we got engaged so long ago, is it rude/bad form to put out an engagement announcement in the local newspaper? The announcement would include our wedding date, which we didn't have up until October. What do you guys think? Serious answers only please. Thanks!
