Is it right of my dad to send my bro to the military instead of college, because...

...my bro doesn't like school? my brother struggles in high school and really doesnt study, doesnt get good grades. its really like extra frustrating to him than the average student. so my dad is thinking of putting him into the army or something and my brother is being kinda brainwashed i think by my dad who makes him think thats the better route to go. dad is also worried that if he would go to college he wouldnt be able to handle it and might fail classes/waste money.

but i feel like college is important and idkk i just want to know what you guys think is best for him?
i know its my brothers life but im just looking out for him ..want him to do whats best
 
College isn't for everyone. It's not important, the most important aspect isn't what you learn academically, but socially. you become an independent adult so to speak.

(unless you want to go into a specific academic field.)
