Is it really necessary to give your body rest and not exercise? even if your not

working out that hard? I do 20 minutes on the elliptical
around 75-100 squats (with 8lb dumbbells)
around 40-60 lunges (with 3lb dumbbells)
sit-ups, push-ups, lifting weights
and sometimes instead of squats and lunges i'd do pilates..Everynight

the next morning I'd sometimes feel sore..but just the tiniest bit..
then at night time i'd exercise again.
I try to exercise every night and try not to skip any days..
but I just heard your suppose to give your muscles rest..
I don't feel like I need to because my exercise routine is not a**-kicking enough..
should I be taking days off anyways?
my goal is to not lose weight! (I am underweight)
but to tone up and get more muscles
