I don't have any of the typical symptoms of allergies. I have been caughing for about 3 months now. I have been treated with antibiotic twice for bronchitis, and strep. It didn't help...so they put me on allergy medicine. Have been on it almost a month, and no change. It's not constant caughing, but when I get that so called tickle, I can't stop till sometimes I gag and throw up.
How irabarassing when your in a room full of people. I do have nasal drainage, and the caugh is sometimes productive.

I am scheduled to see a pulmanary specialist in septeraber, but what do I do in the mean time? This is driving me nuts. Anyone ever had this problem, any advice, thoughts? I have been through 3 extra large bags of caugh drops, YUCK! I don't think it's coming from my lungs, it's in my throat.

Have you tried a decongestant? If it's post nasal drip, that should help. Otherwise, I say see the pulmonologist because it just might be asthma.
