Is it possible to work on sprint and stamina?
I was wondering if you could workout on distance sprints.Let me explain. There is sprinting which is where you use all of your energy and go all out for a short distance (up to 400m). Sprinters have very little stamina and a lot of muscle.Than there is long distance where you pace your self and run for a along distance (800m and up). Distance runners have a lot of stamina but small muscles.
Now these are two completely different types of running which use two completely different types of muscle fibers (fast twitch and slow twitch). I was wondering if there was a way to work on both sprinting and distance. What i mean is have big muscles and lots of stamina.
I want to know this because if you could workout that way i could be really fast and be able to sprint a mile (you know what i mean?).
