Is it possible to work as a STNA in Ohio without state test and with a certificate?

In Ohio, is it possible to get a job at a good hospital as a STNA after completing STNA training classes and obtaining a certificate but not taking the state test? I've heard that it is possible to work up to 3 or 4 months without the state license. I just don't want to pay so much for the state test when I payed so much for the classes and know the skills. It is pointless to take the test if I am planning on only working for 3-4 months as a STNA (more like a summer job). If not at a hospital, is there any other place I can work with out being state tested and with certificate?
