Is it possible to use a thick paint with an airbrush?

I've been hunting for a way to spray thicker paint (about the consistancy of hand lotion) through an airbrush. I have a #5 nozzel but its opening 1.03mm (I think) isn't big enough.

I've looked at mini sprayers and it looks like they might only go up to the same 1mm size. Is there a bigger nozzle out there - or what if I were to go the kind of sprayer painters use to paint rooms - would that work?

I'd be using this paint with stencils that go on the ceiling. The paint has to be thick because it's suspending glitter particles.
