Is it possible to use a G4 tower through an iMac screen? If so how?

I've just been given an G4 tower computer, i already have an Imac computer (g3?) however the g4 has only got a HUGE pc screen, is it possible to feed the g4 through the imac and use the imac as the screen? If so how?
thankyou for your answer, however I'm not very technical! If I do this info will I loose all the info I have on my Imac?
