Is it possible to swap a Honda H23A1 engine (2.3 Prelude Si) with H22A1 engine (2.2

Prelude VTEC)? Thanks for helping me out. I am planning to buy a pretty nice looking '93 Prelude Si, but the engine is done for. To replace it with a 2.3 engine is more expensive than a 2.2, and there is a better selection of the latter. Thanks again!
