Is it possible to sneak chewing tobacco into army basic training?

Sure, sneaking it in isn't the problem. Most of the initial shakedown is an integrity issue. The issue is in not getting caught with it once you are in and I promise you that you won't make it.

If you sneak it in, you will be caught and you may be kicked out and discharged. Is it worth that just to have some chewing tobacco? At best, you will get an Article 15, lose pay and possibly rank, and be put on extra duty for a month.

Being in the military is about working as a team, having integrity, and doing what you are told. If you cannot do this simple thing, how can anyone trust you with something greater, like their life?

I'm 17 and going to basic training this coming summer and was wondering what would happen if they caught you bringing any tobacco to basic or if it's even possible to bring it. Someone who's already been to basic maybe? Thanks
