Is it possible to sit in some class at university in Canada?

Is it possible to sit in some class at university in Canada?
I would like to attend a couple of classes in University of Toronto or some othere universities in Montreal but I wonder if it is possible.
I sent email to the universities a month ago but nobody has replied and they have not even checked them yet.
