Is it possible to have an app running in the background of a telephone call in smart phone apps? I suspect not on the iPhone, but what about Android, Nokia, Windows etc?
The app would need to be able to respond to sound inputs from the phone call, as well as to output sound to the phone call. Also, the app would launch the telephone call (I know this much is possible on the iPhone, but it would normally also close the app).
Specifically, the app would allow the user to dial a number and start a telephone call. On demand from the user, the app would play recorded messages on the line and also be capable of listening to responses from the line.
