...individual? I recently moved out of an apartment in Arizona due to my landlord having treated me like crap. I won't go into details. They claim that I was under a lease agreement; however, on a legal technicality, I discovered, the contract they refer to is void ab initio.

I informed them in writing per Arizona's Landlord-Tenant Act that I would be moving out and explained the legal reasons for it. Now I am receiving an "account statement" that is charging me rent for the remainder of the original "lease term" plus a bunch of fees and they are threatening to send it to collections, even though they have NO JUDGMENT and cannot win in court.

Can I get a restraining order against the companies that own/operate the apartment complex before the "deadline" they have established for my payment to avoid having them unfairly send my file to a collections agency (which will presumably proceed to ruin my credit without due process)?
