Is it possible to make good money in a small restaurant?

I have seen all the success my bosses have with their restaurants ( I am a busser) and I was thinking about founding one . In your opinion what are the chances for success? I am thinking about a small restaurant in West Hollywood. An initial investment of 100k is what I have in mind.
 
You can make great money in ANY restaurant the benefits of a busy place is that all the guest counts and sales with dilute a high overhead. Your labor and cost of food for example. The key to a successful and profitable Business is managing your bottom line and keep costs as low as possible while at the same time working to improve your growth.
