I was allegedly issued a warrant in debt about 10 years ago in VA. I never actually saw the warrant in debt and never heard anything about a court date. I therefore, didn't appear in court and the warrant in debt was not resolved in my favor. I found out about all of this through sheer chance a few days ago. When I check the local court files for the area I lived in then, it is still on record. Is there a way to have this cleared? I no longer live in the state and it has never caused me any problem but I don't like the idea of this lingering document existing on public file.
Is it possible to have a warrant in debt cleared?
