For the one or two or three of you who aren't cool enough to know... Boffers are the items used at ren fairs and larps that allow people to fulfill EVERYONE's childhood fantasy of sword fighting. (For an example of how non-nerdy it is, search you tube for "Savage Boffers" ... there are a few out there).
Boffers are cheap, easy to make... and let's face it. Chicks totally dig guys in armor. You know?
So can any other sport compare in rugged manliness? Baseball's just a bunch of dudes standing around 90% of the time. Basketball and soccer is just dudes running around in circles 90% of the time. And football? They've got a little armor on, but they ignore the hot chicks on the side lines and just tackle each other all game. That's not manly at ALL!
So, why don't more people have the courage to pick up a boffer with us? Are most people just too afraid?
