is it possible to go to business school and law school at the same time?

Yes it can be possible perhaps if one class is at night and the other in the day time, but a warning it could really wear you out.
 
There's no rule that says you can't do that, but you'd be crazy to do so. Necessary for what? Those are two largely different fields. If you're going to school at the professional level, you should pick a field by then.
 
Some schools allow joint programs (do both at once), but honestly it isn't usually a good choice for students because you will have to spend longer in school and pay much more money. A lawyer who works in business doesn't need an MBA, a business person doesn't need a JD. Think long and hard before you do it.
