Is it possible to get pre-approved to buy a house if I've never had a credit card?

I feel stupid asking this, but I honestly don't know. I've never been approved for a credit card. I've gone through Wells Fargo, Chase, Capital One, and even Universal Studios and noone can approve me but none of them know why.

So I don't have a credit card but me and my dad want to buy a house under my name. So is it possible to get pre-approved for financing if I've never had a credit card?
