Just wondering, are A levels the only route. Is is possible to go straight into law course etc? UK only please.

When you are a mature student the requirements may be waived. It is a normal requirement to have two A levels to matriculate (ie start any degree). You might be able to do a diploma part time- eg day release, but this is not a very popular route as the success rate is so low.

You need A Levels and a degree to become a lawyer or barrister. You can become a legal secretary, barristers clerk or a Legal Executive without A levels, but you would need to study further beyond GCSEs
