is it possible to get a flip key(switch key) to work with my 98 jeep grand cherokee?

could i just buy a blank key off ebay and have it cut, then switch the insides out? ive heard of people taking them apart and switching the actual key and switching the inside, but that seems a little hard. what could I do?
