Can you get both? I am interested in 89D as EOD is something I believe I enjoy as a career, but I would also like the opportunity to become a Ranger, understanding full well that the training is extremely rigorous and has a high wash-out rate. I plan to try my absolute hardest not to wash out, but if I can't cut it for whatever reason I would like to have a backup that I would actually enjoy. So can I enlist as 89D and also get Option 40 guaranteed in my contract, or do I have to make the choice between them?
Is it possible to enlist in the army with an 89D MOS and an Option 40 on your contract?
