Is it possible to discuss universal health care with conservatives and not have them

call the poor lazy? The conservative excuse for denying others the RIGHT to health care is always that the "poor don't deserve it because they are lazy" never mind that there are poor people working 60hrs a week at min wage jobs with evil companies that don't provide benefits. (please don't tell me "if they don't like the job find a new one", if your uneducated, and poor you have few options; if your uneducated and poor you CANT afford education, thus you cant get a job above min wage). It seems that conservatives only care about themselves; "i earned it why should i help others less fortunate than me? its MINE MINE MINE!" So is it possible to discuss health care with conservatives, without them making generalizations, or showing how their greed prevents them from helping humans in need?

Well I just see the fact that medicine was a lot cheaper and more user friendly before the federal government got involved in it and make the logical conclusion that getting them out of medicine would be better than increasing their presence in it. Medicare reduced the out of pocket price of people to see doctors, so more people saw doctors. But the doctors had to fill out paperwork at risk of fine, make sure they were complying with govt regulations when treating patients, and work their way around red tape to see patients while at the same time dealing with the influx of new patients thus reducing their supply. Supply down and demand up = prices up. Every foray they have into medicine has the same conclusion, and they all give more money and power to the politicians and take away choice from us.

That's nonsense. And stop making generalizations. No serious conservative ever makes such a lame and defamatory statement against the poor. On top of that, no one is trying to stop people from having access to health care, except the Democrats, who want to put in place a system that will deny more people. Did you realize that Medicare denies the most of any insurer?I'm not talking absolute numbers, but percentages. So expand a Medicare type system to everyone and guess what?

Just because conservatives don't want to control peoples lives, doesn't make them greedy, nor less compassionate. IT is a fact that conservatives are more generous in giving to charities than liberals. Under our system today, no one can be denied emergency medical treatment, period. We all pay for that in our premiums too. There is nothing for free.

All people have a responsibility for their own good health. IT should be up to them to decide how to go about that. They shouldn't be fined or imprisoned because they choose not to have health care insurance. That's just tyranny, plain and simple.

Conservative blowhards like to give their song and dance over why they want to deny healthcare coverage. The simple understated fact is that they don't want to pay an extra 0.05% for the coverage for others. They think that our tax dollars could be put to better use in funding wars overseas and giving bailouts to corporations that have no stake in benefitting middle and lower class Americans. Healthcare is a RIGHT that everyone is entitled to. The access to healthcare should not be denied to people on the basis of their financial income. Anyone who says otherwise is either heartless or an insurance plant

No its not possible because they are so selfish

And ruth...its the liberals ignoring the Constitution? Ha...thats the funniest thing ive ever heard

health care is not a right, and the constitution is clear,on the fact that it is not a federal issue.try reading the constitution and get back with me
