is it possible to convert the drive belt system in a 1985 chevy?

is it possible to convert the drive belt system in a 1985 chevy silverado 305 to serpentine belt system? the 2 belt system seems very faulty and is a poor design in my opinion...but i just want to be sure before i start anything...
 
If you have the money, anything's possible. But here's something to consider. The 2 belt system isn't as good as a serpentine belt, but it did make the truck last 25 years. Just takes a bit more maintenance. Also make sure the truck's moving even a little bit before turning the steering wheel. That'll help eliminate the power steering belt from squealing. (if so equipped)
 
Yes you can switch it over to the newer style, but all the pulleys will have to be changed out. There are complete and costly shiny kits for sale, but you could just hit a junkyard, and get all the parts you need off a newer 88 up truck with a SBC in it.> i prefer the old v belts myself, the serpentines belts need constantly replaced from all the drag on them, they always sqeak!
