Is it possible to convert a 1960 Ford f series 2wd pickup to 4x4? I understand conversion is a pain but its a even bigger pain to find a running 4x4 in the 1959 to 1960 body style that I love. As it is the first couple of years ford made factory 4x4 by the way before then 4x4 were aftermarket. It seems to me it might be easier to swap than some not so much wiring and then the 2wd also has leaf spring suspension in the front existing already? Also as it is 2wd and If I can get the axles bolted up during the process of conversion at one point can the vehicle be driven using a 4x4 axle before I get to the stage of transfer case front drive shaft etc. can it run on a phantom 4x4 axle?
