Hey I want to go to a summer acting camp when I'm 16. At the moment I'm 13. I really want to go to acting school. The one that's in my area. They offer a Film acting camp which I want to be part of. I want to attend in the Four Week Acting camp to get more experience.
FOUR WEEK ACTING CAMP - Acting schools camp for the 4 week program will take the novice student to a performance level by the end of the 4th week. Student will concentrate the 1st week on learning t.v.commercial material, how to audition for a t.v. commercials, working on improvisation techniques and introduction to basic scene study. 2nd week of training will challenge the student with more scenes, work on technical aspects of movement in front of the camera, voice and diction. The 3rd week will introduce students to on camera Monologue study, preparing monologues for use in auditions. Students will work with original material as well as published material. Class progress will be taped and the emphasis is on creating an audition repertoire to highlight individuals talent. The 4th week will cover mastering Cold reading and auditioning techniques . Students will be experiencing what its like to be thrown into a cold reading technique in a life-like audition setting as well as having a mock set up of an audition in front of a casting director.. This prepares actors for handling the nerve-racking experience of auditioning. Students will be taught how to prepare an effective resume, learn the necessary business what each actor needs to know to make it in this highly competitive industry.. I just wanted to ask if I can attend acting camp in the summer and take courses in their acting programs in the school year.
