Is it possible to add corned beef flavor to cooked beef?

I was hoping I could add corned beef flavor to my cooked beef. My group at school was supposed to cook corned beef but instead we got cooked beef with no flavor. They left it with me.
My group's cook cooked it. She put it in a pressure cooker.
 
Wait, it was corned beef but when you cooked it it tasted like normal, plain beef? I just gotta clear that up.
How did you cook it?
Boiled?

I put in a handful of black peppercorns, vinegar (whatever you like), 1 big lemon or 2 small lemons juiced then throw the peel in and a few bay leaves with the corned silverside covered in hot water and boil for 30mins per 500g. You don't have to check on it a lot just every now and again and add some water if there's none at the top of the beef.

It turns out nice, firm and slightly salty.
