I used to be straight a student, spell things most adults couldn't even spell. I was really bright with a good future. Then about 8th grade things started falling apart and I lost that "touch" i had. In 08 i was diagnosed with psychotic depression. Medicated on tons of different trials of meds for the next few years. I noticed i was no longer as smart as i once was. I now have so much trouble spelling even simple words and my thoughts are off and more. I feel that i'm losing my intelligence. has this happened to anyone else?
Is it possible for someone's intelligence to diminish with mental illness?
