...so that someone else can run it? A man I know wants a new car dealership, I've got the money, he hasn't. I don't want to be involved in any way, and I'm not qualified in any way. But I want it to be in my name, because it's my money. Is that possible? It would probably be Ford......and in the Phillipines.
 
Be very careful a dealership is a great Business but it can also be a money pit. You can buy a franchise and have someone to operate it but its like giving them the keys to your bank account. If you are not going to have some involvement I would say don't do it. If you do I suggest you get a good accountant to help you track all the money being moved..
 
If you've got the millions of dollars it takes to buy, build and open a new car franchised dealership and then trust someone else with more knowledge and experience to run the day to day operation then by all means do it. But you are putting your entire fortune in someone else's hands and that may not be a wise financial decision.

You have to know business to be in business. Any business owner that isn't intimately involved in the operation is prone to failure.
